Several conclusions can be drawn from the analysis of commodity attributes of language as follows： Commodity production and commodity exchanges are inseparable from language; language development promotes the development of commodity economy. Language practitioners＇ language competence falls to the category of complicated labor, the value of which is higher than that of the simple labor; and language competence, as a special commodity, can be sold and bought freely in the language market. Different languages have different status and utilities; the exchange value of language is decided by rational value and influenced by emotional value.
