移动技术辅助外语教学对英语词汇习得有效性的实证研究 被引量:44

An empirical study on the effectiveness of Mobile Assisted Language Learning on English vocabulary acquisition

摘要 本研究以4组非英语专业研究生为对象,通过测试考察了移动技术辅助外语教学(MALL)与多模态结合对学习者词汇习得的影响。实验结果表明:(1)根据即时测试,MALL相比计算机辅助外语教学(CALL)在多模态承载效果方面未呈现优势;(2)根据延时测试,移动技术辅助教学是更有效的多模态承载手段;(3)MALL组成绩持续上升,而CALL组成绩持续下降,其中移动技术与多模态结合对词汇记忆的保持效果最好。 Through tests among four groups of non-English major postgraduates, this study investigates the combined effects of Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) and muhimodality on EFL learners' vocabulary acquisition. The results are as follows: (1) based on the immediate test, there is no significant difference between the effects of MALL and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) on vocabulary acquisition; (2) based on the delayed tests, MALL is more effective in improving vocabulary acquisition with multimodal presentations; (3) while the scores of the CALL groups keep decreasing, those of the MALL groups keep increasing, and the MALL group with muhimodality significantly outperforms the other goups in lexical retention.
