反本质主义是我国当代文论发展中的一个重要"事件",对传统文学观念和理论模式形成了一定的冲击与挑战,在相当程度上改变了当代文论的格局。在反本质主义论争的语境下,当代文论界对文学本质论的探讨,发生了不同以往的巨大变化:有的明显回避文学本质论问题,只对其做某种知识化处理;有的则改变策略,转换为对文学本体论问题进行探讨寻求新的突破;有的虽不避嫌疑仍直接讨论文学本质问题,但其理论观念和模式都已大不相同;也有的小心谨慎地避开某些是非之争而不正面讨论文学本质论问题,但实质上是在另辟蹊径进行某种新的探索。这反映了在反本质主义"事件"之后,当代文论多元探索的发展趋向。一次反本质主义论争不可能终结对于文学本质论的研究,因为文学发展不会终结,人们的认识也需要与时俱进,因此文学本质论的创新探索也必然还在路上。

Anti-essentialism is an important event in the development of contemporary Chinese literary theory.It has formed a certain impact and challenge to the traditional literary concept and the theoretical model, and changed the pattern of contemporary literary theory to a great extent.In the context of anti-essentialism, great changes have taken place in the discussion on the essence of literature. Some people avoid discussing on the essence of literature, and only do some kind of knowledge processing. Some people change the strategy and turn to discuss the issue of literary ontology.Some people do not discuss the problem on the essence of literature positively and take another way to make a new exploration actually. All the discussions reflect the development trend of contemporary literary theo- ry.An anti-essentialism debate could not end for the research of literary essence theory.Because the development of literature will not end, people＇s understanding also needs to keep pace with the times.Therefore, the innovation of literary essence theory is bound to be on the road.
