摘要
针对已有文献对语用化现象缺少定性和定量两方面实证探究的现状,本文依托ELC、BNC和COHA语料库,在语用化理论的视阈下,从定性和定量两个维度,以英语态度标记语frankly为例,探讨该词在语义、句法、语用及频率方面的演变情况,并在此基础上,划分frankly的语用化阶段,重现frankly的语用化路径。本文借助个案示例,为当前语用学基于共时的语用化研究提供可操作的研究范式,拓宽共时语料库语言学的研究视野,同时为话语标记语的研究增添新内容。
Within the framework of pragmaticalization, this research, using data from ELC, BNC, and COHA, provides a detailed case study of the English attitudinal marker frankly. By incorporating qualitative and quantitative analyses, it portrays the contextualized semantic-pragmatic meanings and syntactic changes of frankly, together with the changes in frequency. As an essentially diaehronic study, this paper is a complement to the fields of pragmatics and corpus linguistics that tend to take synchronic data as their sources.
