摘要
通过对改革开放以来大学英语课程与教学改革所经历的历次争论的分析与研究,指出大学英语的最终出路不在于向左还是向右的方向问题,而是能否从根本上解决大学英语教学质量的问题。同时,分析了传统教学中影响大学英语教学的一些因素,指出基于标准的教学才是从根本上解决大学英语教学质量的范式。
The present thesis exams three rounds of debates concerning College English reforms since the 1980s, with the conclusion that the final way to solve problems in College English teaching is decided not by which direction should we take but by teaching quality. The authors then analyze some elements that impair the quality of College English teaching and point out that standards-driven instruction is a new paradigm aiming at improving the quality of College English teaching.
