The growth of ethnic parties has been a significant phenomenon in the Central and Eastern Europe since the end of the Cold War.The article finds some patterns of the changing influence of the parties by analyzing the parliamentary elections and political activities of the Turkish ethnic party in Bulgaria, the Hungary ethnic party in Romania and the Russian ethnic party in Latvia. The influence of the ethnic parties in the Central and Eastern Europe shows a downward trend in recent years in terms of their political participation and their influence on decision-making.Therefore, while representing the interests of their own ethnic groups, the parties should accommodate more political forces in the future. Only by rallying up themselves could they win a place on the political arena in the Central and Eastern Europe.
