Ahernative polyadenylation (APA) plays an important role in the processes of gane expression regulation, development, differentia- tion, transformation, and proliferation. This paper reviews the functions of APA in the regulation of cell activation and proliferation, develop- ment and differentiation. At the same time, the paper also summarizes the regulatory network relationship of interactions between microRNAs and APA, which has important biological significance in understanding APA for life activities in eukaryotes.
