企业间职业隔离对性别工资差异的影响

The Occupational Segregation between Enterprises Effects in the Gender Wage Gap

员工的个人特征和企业的特征会同时影响企业员工的工资。由于长期以来缺乏研究所需要的微观数据,国内学者在研究性别工资差异问题时,难以考虑企业的效应。本文利用"中国雇主-雇员匹配数据",首先使用OLS回归,分析企业特征对性别工资差异的影响;其次,在控制企业的影响之后,建立固定效应模型,进一步讨论职业隔离对于性别工资差异的影响。研究显示:企业中的女性分布比例对女性工资具有显著的负向影响,这很可能导致女性在企业中从事低收入的职业,在相同职业中获得较低收入,由此导致男女性别工资差异进一步扩大。

This paper analyzes the gender wage gap in the post-reform Chinese using a unique employer-employee matched dataset. The analysis shows that for women the distribution proportion in the enterprises has a significant negative impact on the wages. This is likely to lead women to work in low-paid occupations in the enterprise and obtain lower income in the same job. Thus, the gender wage gap get further expanded.
