戏剧是胡春冰的人生主旋律。从加入"南国社"始至抗战结束,他始终以戏剧参与社会运动,积极组建各种进步剧团,推动着中国剧运的发展。无论是其革命戏剧,还是抗战戏剧,他以其丰硕的创作丰富着现代戏剧的宝库。他的欧美戏剧理论译介,结合革命文学、民族文艺与抗战文艺的时代主题,彼此共同推进中国现代戏剧的理论建设。无论是戏剧创作与理论建设的贡献,还是他以戏剧表达赤诚的爱国热情都不应被遗忘。

Theater studies and playwriting play the most important role in Hu Chunbing＇s life. From his joining in ＂Nanguo Society＂ to the end of Anti-Japanese War, he was always active in participating social movements, establishing various theatrical troupes for social progress and promoting the development of theater revolution in China by creating some plays and developing his theories on theater. His plays both about Anti-Japanese War and about Chinese Revolution are treasures for Chinese theater, besides, his translation and introduction of European and American theatrical theories combining with his contemporary themes about war, revolution and national arts contribute greatly for constructing modem theatrical theories in China. Thus, he must be remembered as a great playwright, a theatrical theorist and a loyal patriot in modem China.
