为了探讨早期中日图书馆学交流情况,文章选取日本出版时间最早的图书馆杂志《东壁》,从其刊名、研究论文和中国文献学著作评论中,分析日本学者关注的中国文化元素,包括从中国经典中为该刊挑选一个典雅的题名,用中国公使在日访书故事来提醒图书馆要加强古旧书籍收集,通过对钱大昕《元史艺文志》的解题评论来突出其学术价值。由此得出结论:中国文化在日本学习欧美图书馆学过程中发挥了重要的作用,中日图书馆学之间有着天然的联系,值得中日图书馆学交流史研究者加以关注。

In order to discuss the early communications between Japan and China in library science, thispaper takes The Toheki, the earliest library journal of Japan, to analyze the Chinese cultural elements used in thetitle of the journal, the paper and the book review. In more detail, the editor named the journal after an elegantword from a Chinese history book, and one author argued the necessity of collecting books with the example of theChinese Minister collecting Chinese rare books in Japan. Besides this, the editor gave a high evaluation on QianDaxin7s Yuan Shi Yi Wen Zhi by writing a book review. The conclusion of the paper is that Chinese culture playedan important role in the process of western library science being introduced into Japan, which caused the naturalconnections between Japan and China in library science.
