A Study of Mythology beyond Mythology——A Review of the Research on Mythology and Liu Zongdi's Mythical Legends of Mountains and Seas

刘宗迪先生的《失落的天书——〈山海经〉与古代华夏世界观》一书,仅是对《山海经》一个部分的研究。刘宗迪指出,《山海经》中《海经》与《山经》是两篇性质迥异并曾在战国时期独立流传的文本,故对《海经》与《山经》只能做区别的研究而非一概论之。本书正标题"失落的天书"指的是隐藏在《海经》文本背后、早已不为世人所知的一幅古月令图。这幅面目模糊不清的古图不是人们想当然认为的有关山川方国的地图,而是天文历法之图。从副标题"《山海经》与古代华夏世界观"以及本书目录所涉及的内容可以看出,他的研究不限于对《山海经》一书的解谜,而是通过《海经》文本析出古月令图,通过古月令图阐述古代的天文知识与历法制度,再通过天文历法及仪式庆典这一对古人而言最基本也最重要,但对今人而言早已陌生的领域,重建古代华夏的知识体系与世界观。

Mr.Liu Zongdi's Lost Sealed Book ——Mythical Legends of Mountains and Seas and ancient Chinese view of the world,is only apart of the study on Mythical Legends of Mountains and Seas.Liu Zongdi pointed out that Mythical Legends of Mountains and Mythical Legends of Seas in Mythical Legends of Mountains and Seas are different in nature,and had independently spread in the Warring States Period,so we cannot generalize them.This book is titled Lost Sealed Book refers the picture of ancient lunar that hidden behind Mythical Legends of Seas and it is not known to the world.The indistinct picture is not a map of mountains and rivers that people take for granted,but the map of the astronomical calendar.From the subtitle and the content involved book catalogue can be seen,his research is not limited to Mythical Legends of Mountains and Seas,but analyzing the ancient lunar order by Mythical Legends of Seas,elaborating the ancient astronomical knowledge and the calendar system by the ancient lunar order,and reconstructing Chinese knowledge system and world view through the astronomical calendar and ceremony for the ancients also the most important and the most basic,but already to people unfamiliar areas.
