荣格博士于20世纪提出的原型理论对人文科学产生了巨大影响,美国黑人女作家艾丽斯·沃克代表作《拥有快乐的秘密》的创作深受其原型理论影响。作品讲述了女主人公塔希在惨遭部落割礼迫害后寻求自我完整的成长历程,依据荣格原型理论,塔希的觉醒与自我实现离不开小说中其他角色的启发、引导与帮助:行割礼者穆丽莎呈现出阴影的力量,提供了令塔希警醒的反面范式;心理分析师卡尔和莱伊代表了智者的形象,对塔西循循善诱;具有双性同体特质的皮埃尔展现出完整的自性原型,他们指引塔希从对抗最终走向了和谐。

Jung＇s Archetypal Theory put forward in the 20th century has had huge impact on socialsciences. American black female writer Alice Walker and her Possessing the Secret of Joy have been profoundlyaffected by Jung, which describes the growing process of the protagonist Tashi after receiving tribalgenital circumcision. Based on Jung＇s Archetypal Theory, Tashi＇s self awakening should be attributed to theenlightenment, guidance and assistance of a few essential characters in the novel. For instance, the powerof shadow embodied in M＇Lissa who practices circumcision, the image of wise man reflected in the psychoanalystsCarl and Raye, and the self archetype in androgynous Pierre. They have worked together tolead her to fulfill her self wholeness and achieve harmony eventually.
