外语教学中教师角色的转变与反思——以赫尔巴特和杜威的师生观为视角

摘要 在外语教学中,教师角色的转变与教育思想及教学方法的演变是密不可分的。在赫尔巴特"教师中心论"的传统教育和杜威"儿童中心论"的现代教育思想影响下,外语教师角色的转变也是从"以教师为中心"到"以学生为中心"的过程。通过对赫尔巴特和杜威的师生观教育思想的探讨,分析外语教师在课堂教学中角色的转变,以期在教育现代化理念背景下,使教师在适应现代化教学方法同时,更好地调整自身在课堂中的角色,培养国际化、多元化的外向型人才。 It has been demonstrated that there is a close relationship between the transformation of teachers' role and the evolution of educational ideology and teaching methodology in the field of foreign language teaching. Based on Herbart and Dewey' s views of the relationship between teachers and students, foreign language teachers' role has transformed from "teacher-centered" to "student-centered" during the last several decades. This study has set out to examine the differences and similarities of Herbart and Dewey' s views on educational ideology and analyze the transformation of teachers' role in foreign language teaching. The aim has been to provide a better adjustment of teachers' role, application of certain teaching methodology and cultivation of international talents in EFL leaming context.
