Collection of European jewelry boxes from mid-19 th century to the 20 th century is one of the major collecting projects in Hong Kong Liangyicang Museum. The value and standard of this type of collections in the museum are rare and precious both in Asia and the world. The collections had been exhibited in Beijing Palace Museum, Summer Palace and London Goldsmith Exhibition Hall. This paper chooses 43 dressing cases and jewelry boxes with oriental elements. By traditional method of classification, the article gives primary introduction and studies of the decorative elements and styles according to the collections' own texture. This text also wants to show western jewelry decorating styles in the late 19 th century to the early 20 th century, when there was a number of exotic oriental pearls and jewels due to close exchange between the East-West, and the unique oriental decorative elements reflect the the beautiful oriental world in the eyes of European people.
