Experience of LI Yan in Treating Insomnia

李延教授认为失眠是由于情志、饮食、劳倦、体虚、受惊等原因导致心神失养或热扰心神,神不归舍,总与心肝脾肾以及气血不足有关。临床常见心肾不交、脑肾不足、心阳亢盛、阴虚不寐、阳虚不眠、胃失和降、肝经受病、胆郁不舒、瘀血阻络等证型。列举其治疗失眠典型医案,分析总结李延教授治疗失眠的方证思路及其辨证论治的思想。

Professor LI Yan thinks insomnia is caused by emotion,diet,tiredness,weakness,fright and other causes which can result in malnutrition of heart spirit ,heat harassing the heart spirit, spirit failing to keep to its adobe. In a word,insomnia is associated with heart,liver,spleen,kidney and deficiency of Qi and blood. Syndromes commonly seen in clinic include non-interaction between the heart and kidney, deficiency of brain and kidney,hyperactivity of heart Yang,deficiency of Yin,deficiency of Yang,stomacb Qi failing to bear downward,liver meridian injury,gallbladder stagnation and blood stasis obstructing the collaterals.
