上饶市语言景观调查研究

An Investigation on the Linguistic Landscape of Shangrao City

本文采取语言景观的研究方法,将上饶市语言景观分为自下而上的语言景观(商店标牌)和自上而下的语言景观(景区标牌、路标等)。首先从语言形式出发,描写了上饶市商店名的语言特征,从商店名称的语符组合情况等语言景观来分析其背后蕴含的社会语言状况:上饶市作为中国中部的一个小城市,民众语言规范意识较强,规范汉字的使用占绝对优势地位,但语符搭配缺乏多样性、创新性,国际化程度较低;其次借鉴场所符号学理论来研究自上而下的语言景观,即"场所中的话语";最后讨论了上饶市语言景观存在的拼写、用字和翻译等不规范现象。

The paper divides the linguistic landscape of Shangrao city into two types,top-down signs（ e.g.store signs） and bottom-up signs（ e.g.national scenic spot signs or road signs）.From the perspective of language forms,the paper describes the linguistic features of Shangrao＇s store signs and analyzes the social language situation in Shangrao considering the combination of linguistic codes.It is found that firstly,in Shangrao city,a small city in central China,people have strong consciousness of language norms,and the use of standardized Chinese characters accounts for the majority.But the collocation of linguistic codes lacks diversity and innovation,and is not internationalized.Secondly,explorations of bottom-up signs under the framework of place semiotics theory show that the spread of World English makes a difference in the language landscape.Finally,the article discusses non-standard phenomena in spelling,usage of characters and translation of signs in Shangrao.
