Contemporary hair transplantation as an excellent therapy option for androgenic alopecia offers natural and undetectable surgical results and has undergone major advancements and refinements. The following discussion highlights the progression of FUT and FUE technique and also reviews the potential future directions for hair transplantation,exploring the alternative therapies such as Platelet Rich Plasma,cellular cloning and gene therapies.
