摘要
《哈利·波特》系列小说以哈利·波特的成长经历为时间轴,描述了他迷茫——失望——挫败——历练——顿悟——成人的成长轨迹,成长小说展现的主人公(主体)与外在环境(他者)的交互关系正是"他者"理论视阈观照的范围,从他者理论视角出发,主人公如何在外在环境的变化中一步步建构自我与身份展现得清晰明了。哈利·波特在麻瓜世界遭遇的自我认知困境与在魔法世界获得的身份认同,是其成长过程中"自我"与"他者"不断地相遇、相互凝视的结果。而正是在这样的动态过程中,主人公(主体)承担起对他者的责任,获得他者的认可与信赖,从而建立自我认同与他者认同之间的统一性,完成英雄式人物的身份建构。
Harry Potter series narrate Harry Potter's growth process of confusion, disappointment, self-frustration, suffering, epipha- ny and maturity. The interaction between protagonist (subject) and environment (other) in initiation story fails into the fields of the other theory. With employing framework of the other theory, this study aims to show clearly how protagonist searches for himself and builds identity under the change of environment. This paper concludes that Harry Potter's dilemma of self-cognition and identity re- sults from encounter and interaction between self and other in growth. Protagonlst(subject ) is approved and trusted by bearing respon- sibility and is recognized as a hero by acquiring unification between self- identity and other - identity.
