The characteristic university plays an irreplaceable role in university＇s teaching and scientific research with its advantages in all kinds of professional literature resources. This paper introduces the differences between characteristic university library and common university library in aspect of personalized information service, and conducts a detailed analysis on personalized information service mode of the library of Civil Aviation University of China in order to provide a reference for other characteristic university libraries.
