China Aerospace Science ＆ Industry Corporation manufactures integrated titanium alloy air inlets using 3D printing technology

Technicians at 306 institute of the 3rd Academe, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, overcome the difficulties in composite technology of dissimilar titanium alloys, successfully manufacturing integrated air-inlet test pieces of TA15 and Ti2AlNb titanium alloys with a large temperature gradient using 3D laser printing technology, and passing the force-heat joint test.
