随着全球化的发展,国与国之间政治、经济、文化等方面的联系日益密切。作为思维和交流的工具、信息和文化的载体以及民族延续的纽带,语言在社会各领域正发挥举足轻重的作用。在此形势下,世界各国积极制定与之相适应的语言政策,持续改进本国的语言教育。澳大利亚根据国情适时调整本国的语言政策,为世界其他国家解决相关语言问题提供了参考和借鉴。本文通过回顾分析澳大利亚语言政策的发展演变,旨在深入探讨澳大利亚语言政策的特点及取得的成就和存在的问题。
As a worldwide communicational tool, language plays a significant part in various social areas. Under such circumstance, the whole world began to actively participate in the formulation of appropriate language policies and constant improvement of language education. Australia has set an example of addressing relevant language issues for other countries with its distinctive language policy and education. This thesis aims to find out the characteristics, achievements and problems of Australian language policy by an overview of the evolution of Australian language policy.
