The Reunification View of Xi Jin-ping: Interpretation of Taiwan-related Speeches of Xi Jin-ping since 18^(th) National Congress of the Communist Party of China

党的十八大以来,习近平已在多个不同场合就两岸关系发表看法,总计达12次之多,他的"统一观"也在这一过程中渐趋成型。习近平的统一观立意高远、内涵深刻、逻辑谨严,极富创新性,既有对中国传统历史文化中统一思想的传承与发扬,也不乏针对台湾岛内目前现状与动态的即时性回应。习近平从两岸命运共同体的视角出发,将两岸关系纳入中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦这一整体论述之中,强调和平融合与共圆中国梦齐头并进,赋予统一有别于以往既有认知的时代特色,展现了新一代领导人在处理两岸关系和国家统一问题上的自信、智慧和高超艺术。

Since the 18^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Mr. Xi has delivered 12 speeches about cross-strait relations, in which Xi＇s view of ＂unification＂ is also coming into being, in this process. The views of ＂unification＂ are both the heritage and promotion of Chinese traditional history and culture and the instant response for the current situation in Taiwan. From the perspective of the unity of both sides＇ destinies, Xi Jin-ping put the cross-strait-relation into the great background of rejuvenation of Chinese People, emphasising on the peacful integration and Chinese dream go hand in hand, which gives new cognitions of reunification and dispalys the confidence, wisdom and superb artistic leadership of the new generation of leaders.
