在华夏文明与文化中,自古存在着以"青"为核心的字义集群。这与华夏上古时期先民们的生存环境及其对自然界植物矿物的观察命名与加工应用密切相关。"青"最初指一种植物色彩、形貌及从其中提取的颜料。运用于艺术,从史前的陶器时代直至明清的各门类艺术,在思想观念上与儒、道、释诸家学说相融合与衍化,并渗透于华夏民族的个体心理与民族性格,在传播方面辐射东西方文明体系。"青"是中国文化所独有的对自然与社会的一种指称与命名、认知与表达、创造与传播的独特现象,它不仅成为独具特色的华夏文化表征,同时真正成为中国文化艺术的底色。其不仅对中国艺术文化产生深刻影响,更对世界文明的交通融合产生深远影响。

In the Chinese civilization and culture since ancient times, there are a group of characters with the Chinese character ＂Qing＂ - which means ＂green＂ or ＂blue＂ - as the core meaning. This is closely related to the living environment of ancient Chinese ancestors and their observation, naming, processing and applica- tion of the plants and minerals of nature. ＂Qing＂ was originally referred to the color and shape of certain plant and the pigment extracted from it. It was long applied to various genres of art from the prehistoric Pot- tery Age until the Ming and Qing losophy of Confucianism, Taoism Dynasties. The connotation of ＂Qing＂ and Buddhism, and has penetrated to is in line with the doctrines and phi- individual mentality and Chinese na- tional character, and influenced both Eastern and Western system of civilizations. ＂Qing＂ is a unique Chi- nese cultural existence of reference and naming, cognition and expression, creation and dissemination of na- ture and society ; it has become not only a representation of Chinese culture but also the ground color of Chi- nese culture and art, and has a profound impact on the exchange of world civilizations.
