幽默这个词源于英文"humor"是开朗、自信和智慧的表现。它的出现不仅源于语言本身的魅力,还与语境密切相关。语用学研究的就是在具体语境中使用的语言。美国情景喜剧《查莉成长日记》凭借着其独特的剧情和幽默的语言,受到越来越多中国人的喜爱。本文从语用学中的合作原则的角度出发,对《查莉成长日记》中大量的言语幽默实例进行分析以求进一步探究言语幽默的生成机制。

The English word ＂humor＂ is a manifestation of brightness, self-confidence and wisdom. The production of the word ＂humor＂ is, on the one hand, related to the inherent law of language itself, and it, on the other hand, also depends on the usage of language in context to a large extent. As a kind of popular humorous culture, American sitcoms enjoy a growing popularity among more and more Chinese people for its unique plot and humorous language, and one of the American sitcoms is Good Luck Charlie. Based on cooperative principle of pragmatics, this paper further explores the formation mechanism of verbal humor by analyzing lots of examples related to verbal humor in Good Luck Charlie.
