Modern Chinese phrase "xue bai" adjectives, and its meaning is understood as "as (snow white) is often used as a typical case of descriptive bright as snow" But this paper thinks that the character "xue (snow)" in this phrase should be originated from another character "黢 qu", which means black. The semantic of black can also be used to express the depth of degree. Both qualitative and descriptive adjectives can be prefixed with a prefixed with a "hen" "hen (very) " to indicate the increasing of its degree. Therefore, whether it can be or not is not a strict standard to distinauish it is "aualitative" or "descrintive".
