The early modern English playwrights use medical discourse of skin penetration, defining revenge as an operation process, and displaying the ethical effects of revenge violence in dramatic texts and audience. Sexual desires of tyrants can be interpreted as "plethora", and when sexual intercourse cannot root out raping actions, avengers must stab at tyrants to let out their blood to cure national diseases once and for all. Since it is difficult to distinguish bad blood and good blood, when wives and daughters of the subjects are raped, their blood is polluted by the bad blood of the tyrants, and only if they can be allowed to be stabbed to let out blood, can evils be washed clean and can their family be healthy again. As to wicked avengers, only if they can be allowed to be stabbed to death can their blood wash clean their evils and can their kingdom be reborn.
