According to study on the historical context of Sino - Western cultural communication, we find that Chinese cuhure has undergone an evolution -from mightiness in ancient times to weakness in modern world, and that ＂the dispute between science and metaphysics＂ is considered to be a rheological summary and a turning point of cultural communication in the history. We can also find that Chinese culture has been an open well - developed system, and it continues absorbing and integrating different fine aspects of culture, which would give an essential enlightenment to modern cultural development.
