翻译测试的学科定位再探讨

Redefining the Disciplinary Nature of Translation Testing

本文追根溯源,从翻译测试的基本特征出发,探讨翻译测试和语言测试、心理测试之间的关系,重新界定翻译测试的定位,并尝试分析翻译测试的基本研究框架。笔者认为,翻译测试与语言测试不同;翻译测试属于心理测试的下属学科;由于其同时涉及到翻译学和测试学等多门学科,翻译测试的具体研究范围、研究定位和研究方法上都有自己的特点。

This paper probes into the basic features of translation testing by clarifying its relationship with language testing and psychological testing, and puts forward some thoughts on the nature of translation testing and some of the possible approaches to and methodologies in studies on translation testing. The paper argues that translation testing belongs to the bigger school of psychological testing, but should not be easily regarded as identical with language testing; besides, translation testing enjoys its unique research objectives, scopes, approaches and methodologies due to its interdisciplinary nature.
