Philip Roth presented the dilemmas for human being in difficulties in his Nemesis. It focuses on the humility and helplessness of mankind in their destiny through a description on the protagonist＇s sufferings from the wrath of heaven. Yet the novel does not end up in such a tragedy but presents a ＂quasi-hero＇s＂redemption through his autonomous choice.
