The new progress of determination of the degree of deacetylation of chitosan was summarized in recent years. The principle and characteristic of two-abrupt-change potentiometric titration with enzyme pretreatment,Fiber-optic refractive index sensing technique,Raman spectrum,Coulometric titration and other new methods were described and compared. It could provided a theoretical reference for corresponding of scientific research and industrial product selected analytical method.
