A Preliminary Study on the Emergence of the Image“Phoenix Standing on Tortoise”in the Han Period and Its Cause

本文在全面梳理汉代各类"凤鸟立龟"造型器物的基础之上,分析了这一艺术形象在汉代出现的原因,是汉代思想和文化观念在物质资料载体上的一种反映。

The present paper makes an all-round sorting of the antiques with various forms of the image ＂phoenix standing on tortoise＂ left over from the Hart Period. On this basis the author analyzes the social causes of the emergence of this artistic image in the Han Period and points out that this image was a reflection of the then ideological and cultural concepts on their material carriers.
