The Trip of Trauma,the Call of Death—— An Analysis of Traumatic Narration in The Comfort of Strangers

From the perspective of the post-modernistic concept about trauma and narrative,this article analyzes the unusual narrative techniques and perspectives,in order to probe into the way desire and death are interlocked with each other in The Comfort of Strangers by British novelist Ian McEvan. The novel portrays the consequences of earlier traumatic experiences of the protagonists,thus revealing the truth that trauma is such a common occurrence in modern society and would lead to destruction if left uncure.
