中国成人高校校名英译研究

On Translating the Names of the Colleges and Universities for Adults in China

通过对我国成人高校校名翻译的调查,发现其中存在同一通名多译名并存及使用非通用性专名等问题。遵守译写规范,全名或缩略化处理等方法,则有利于校名类型文化和校名翻译标准化的建构。

Through investigating the translation of the names of the colleges and universities for adults, it＇s found that there are some problems in translating, such as a variety of versions for the same term and using non-general terms. Therefore, obeying the rules of translation and adopting the full names or their ab- breviations would be helpful to construct the typological culture and translation standardization of the colleges and universities names.
