According to Kant' s agnosticism, "things-in itself" is beyond time and space. The world can't be fully recognized and the truth is not completely reliable. These points of view have become one of the sources for his creative works and the unique style of his works and have a huge impact on his creative works as well. From the perspective of unknowable fate of the protagonist and virtual or real dreams, this thesis discusses the reflection of Kant' s agnosticism on Kleist' s Humboldt Prince and the features of this drama. It comes to a conclusion that Kleist' s interpretation of Kant ' s philosophy is based on hands-on experience that the outside world can' t be fully understood by human and human' s fate and life are unpredictable and beyond control. What' s more, human cannot live a life like what was pre-planned.
