理工科大学生英语输入需求调查

On demand for English input with college undergraduates majoring in technology

摘要 理工科大学生接受英语输入材料困难.以Krashen的输入假说、Schumann的文化适应理论和Brindley的需求分析理论为依据,通过对输入材料的语言难度、趣味性、信息含量、题材内容和文体类型等方面的调查得知:大学英语教师在为理工科学生选择英语输入材料时,科技内容的难度可以略大些,人文内容的材料难度要低些;要了解学生中学阶段接触过的人文信息,合理安排材料的排列顺序;输入材料的智力含量要高;多选择真实性强和内容与学生相关的材料;要综合考虑多种选材因素. It is accepted that technology undergraduates have difficulty in understanding English input materials.Based on Krashen's input hypothesis,Schumann's acculturation theory and Brindley's needs analysis,this research selects materials of language difficulty,amusement,informative loading,contents and types of writing.Results show that the students are more prone to scientific than humanistic contents.Hence,it is necessary to understand and choose the input materials with proper humanism,authenticity and relevance in order to improve the level of intelligence.
