摘要
现代隐喻理论明确地把隐喻看做是一种认知手段,起源于人们对世界感知信息的共鸣,也是人类普遍的一种思维方式,它植根于人们的语言、思维和文化中。同时,隐喻认知也是语言创造力的中心所在。词汇作为语言的基本单位与隐喻认知关系密切,尤其是英语词汇当中的一词多义现象、介词、新意义词汇和派生词,而对与之相关的英语词汇教学也有着非常重要的作用。因此,从隐喻认知的角度分析隐喻与英语词汇教学的关系以及隐喻在英语词汇教学中的应用,可以为英语词汇教学提供新途径。
The modern theories of metaphor hold that it is cognitive in essence which derived from human's perceptive information from this world. It is also a prevalent mode of thinking and planted deeply in human language, human thought and culture. Meanwhile, cognitive metaphor is the center of language creation which closely related to vocabulary—the fundamental unit of language—and vocabulary teaching, especially polysemy, prepositions, the vocabularies having new meanings and derivatives. Therefore, analyzing the relationship between metaphoric cognitive view and vocabulary teaching and interpreting in detail the concrete application can provide a new English vocabulary teaching technique and show its practical significance in language teaching.
