A Comparison on the Love Stories in Li Wa Biography and Qujiang Pool

白行简的《李娃传》与石君宝的《曲江池》虽然讲述的是同一个爱情故事,但是情节却有许多不同之处。从男女主人公在爱情中的表现、爱情过程中的障碍以及作者对美好爱情的看法三个方面论述了两个作品的不同之处,并且简单分析了造成这种不同的背后原因。阐述了两部作品关于爱情的相同之处,探讨了两部作品都采取大团圆结局的社会原因及意义。

Although Bai Xingjian＇ s Li Wa Biography and Shi Junbao＇ s Qufiang Pool share the same love sto- ries, the plots of the two books are totally different. This article proves the differences between the two works and briefly analyzes the reasons behind these differences from the perspectives of the male and female characters＇ be- haviors in love, the obstacles in the process of love and the authors＇ views on happy marriage respectively. In the end, this paper expounds the similarities and differences between the two works about love, and discusses the social causes and significance of the reunion ending of the two works.
