Objective To observe the effectivity and safety of "Good Sleep" Magnetic Film Coating on insomnia. Methods 120 patients with insomnia were randomly divided into the control group, the placebo group and the study group,40 cases in each group. The patients in the control group was treated with diazepam tablets, the placebo group was stimulated with nonmagnetic film coating simulation, and the study group was given "Good Sleep"magnetic film coating stimulating acupoints in head. After one course of treatment( 10 days),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index( PSQI) score and total effective rate were compared before and after treatment among the three groups. Results "Good sleep"magnetic film coating could effectively reduced PSQI score of the patients, much lower than in the placebo group( P〈0. 05). The total effective rate in the treatment group, the control group and the placebo group were 87. 18%,71. 05% and 64. 10%,obviously better in the study group than in the placebo group( P〈0. 05). Although there was no marked difference in PSQI score and the total effective rate between the study group and the control group,no side effect was found in the study group. In the course of treatment, study and placebo groups did not show any adverse reactions, while the in control group,1 case of dizziness, drowsiness occurred,2 patients had memory lessening. Conclusions "Good sleep"magnetic film coating has distinct curative effect on insomnia,it is also a safe way for patients with insomnia.
