As one of the important branches of Tang poems,poems about the frontier zones,with their unique aesthetic essence and spiritual aspects,occupy an extremely significant position in ancient Chinese literature.On the basis of such poems,this paper,from the psychological angle,attempts to explore the rich connotations hidden in them：demonstrations of the then zeitgeist,the frontier landscape,the poets’ concerns for the general public’s well-being and their denunciation of the corrupt administration and longing for peace.To learn more about the then society and the poet’s thinking,it is vital to dig out their subtle and complicated psychological activities between the lines.
