By using documentary analysis and questionnaire survey, this article explores the interactions between collection building about tourist characteristics, development of regional tourist economy and social culture in world heritage areas, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the functioning of collection building about tourist charac- teristics in the protection of world heritage and development of regional tourist economy.
