Objective: To investigate the long-term curative effect of heart-protecting musk pill in reducing blood lipid on stable angina pectoris. Methods: A total of 90 patients with stable angina companied by hyperlipidemia hospitalized in our hospital were selected as the research objects and randomly divided into observation and control groups, 45 for each. Based on the treatment of conventional antiplatelet, lowering blood pressure, stabilizing atherosclerotic plaque and controlling heart rate, the patients in observation group were treated with Heart-protecting musk pill at a dosage of 45 mg by oral route, 3 times a day, while those in control group with isosorbide 5-mononitrate at a dosage of 20 mg by oral route, once a day, for 12 months. The changes of TG, TC and LDL-c in the two groups were compared. Results: The TG, TC, LDL-c in observation groups showed no significant difference before treatment (P 〉 0.05), while were significantly lower than those in control group 3, 6 and 12 months after treatment (each P 〈 0.05). The total effective rates of trail and control groups were 86. 67% and 71. 11% respectively, which showed significant difference (P 〈 0. 05). Conclusion: Heart-protecting Musk pills reduced blood lipid, and showed significantly curative effect on stable angina pectoris with hypeflipemia. It also showed good long-term effect and suitable for patients with long-term use.
