The Outliers of "The Normal Mind":On the Black Female Class

莫尼克·威蒂格认为主宰社会的男权异性恋体制无非就是一种文化的语言系统,作为组成部分之一的概念"正常心灵"是建立在性别差异基础上的异性恋社会的普遍心理,这种心理对广大妇女具有压迫性。正常社会对妇女的压迫追根溯源是由于性别的社会定义引起的,因而性别是一个政治的产物,女人是一个被男性压迫的阶级,妇女解放的途径是消灭性别,建立独立的主体身份。托尼·莫里森的小说《天堂》里有一群被社会遗弃的妇女,她们在没有性别差异的修道院里互相慰藉,相依为命,走出了社会压制的阴影,体现了自身的价值,激活了女性的本体意识。她们成为被压制的女性阶级的代表,她们的逃离、抗争和觉醒的天堂之路,是对"正常心灵"的颠覆。

Monique Wittig thinks heterosexuality dictating the society,in fact,is a linguistic system,and＂Normal Mind＂,as a part of it,is a kind of common thought on gender differences in the heterosexual society,which has been oppressing the women. The oppression is caused by social definition of genders by its source,therefore,genders are political products,and the female is a class,an oppressed class. The way of women liberation is to eliminate genders,and build the feminine subject identity. A group of abandoned women in Toni Morrison＇s novel Paradise console and depend on one another in the monastery without gender differences. Representing the oppressed female class,they go out of the shadow of social oppression,display the feminine charm,and set up their subject consciousness. Their escaping,fighting and awakening towards the＂Paradise＂,in fact,subvert the ＂Normal Mind＂.
