傅若金是元代著名诗人,在诗歌理论上也有所建树,他受传统的"性情说"影响而提出"诗本性情",注重诗歌的抒情特质;受当时诗坛复古风气的影响也提倡诗歌复古,但是又具有一定的通达性;继承传统的诗教观,注重诗歌的社会作用,带有儒家的功利色彩。此外,他还从地域的差异来认识诗歌风格的不同。
