Exploration on the Ideas and Paths for Characteristic Local University Internationalization under “the Belt and Road Initiative”

在众多地方高校中,存在着一批长期立足行业办学、形成了独特办学风格与学科优势的高校。然而,由于高校层次分类的"二元结构",诸多地方高校在财政、学术和社会声誉等资源上与部属高校存在较大差距,导致国际化水平与效益普遍较低。"一带一路"倡议开创了我国对外开放的全新格局,作为知识创造和文化传播的主体,地方高校理应积极融入其中,充分利用倡议带来的机遇与平台,发挥自身特色优势,探索符合地方高校实际的国际化理念及路径。

Among so many local universities in China a group of universities which are long industry - orien-ted with distinct characteristics and disciplinary advantage exist there. However, dual structure of hierarchical classification of colleges has led to low internationalization and efficiency due to the large gap in resources such as funding, academy, social reputation between local universities and ministry - governed ones. The Belt and Road Initiative has created brand - new situation for China’s opening up. As the main knowledge creator and culture spreader, local university should actively engage themselves in the initiative by exerting their own advantages to explore suitable ideas and paths for internationalization based on the opportunities and platform brought by the Initiative.
