Building background of IMS

应中国全球地震台网建设预研项目的需求,对全面禁止核试验条约组织(CTBTO)下设的国际监测系统(IMS)进行了调查研究。研究表明:IMS地震台阵技术逐渐发展,形成了一门学科,即台阵地震学,地震台阵的应用降低了地震(爆炸)检测下限,使地球精细结构研究成为可能。

The preparatory research was made on International Monitoring System（IMS） to implement the project of China global seismic network successfully. The researchtold us that the technique of seismic array developed gradually and became a subject that isarray seismology. The use of seismic array reduced the lower limit of earthquake （explosion）detection, and made the fine structure research possible.
