The thesis introduces historical background and landscape value of ancient Datong city wall,analyzes the role of Datong regional culture in ancient city wall construction,and describes the meaning of rebuilt ancient Datong city wall becoming new city landscape element from aspects of traditional culture and thoughts and emotions.
