摘要
《给樱桃以性别》是一部典型运用多种后现代主义叙事手法将历史、现实、未来合为一体,对爱情、欲望、性别身份、历史、时空等现代主题进行了哲理性探讨的文本。从图像叙事的角度分析小说中呈现的图像符号及其意义,能够揭示它们对传统性别身份的解构以及温特森通过视觉形象对身份主题的艺术性表达,从而取得图像叙事与文字叙事的互文效果。
Abstract ： Sexing the Cherry is a typical novel which unites histories, realities and futures by using va- rious postmodern writing styles to explore the major modern themes such as love, desire, gender, history, time and space. This paper analyzes the visual symbols from the perspective of visual narratives, revealing the deconstruction of gender and Winterson＇s artistic expression towards identity, achieving the intertexu- ality between visual narratives and word narration.
