Influence of North Korea's Fourth Nuclear Test on the Political Situation in Northeast Asia

2016年1月6日,朝鲜宣布进行第四次核试验。朝鲜此次核试验引发了东北亚地区局势的再次紧张,随着朝鲜核能力的提升,韩日对美国在安全方面的诉求不断上升,同时美国也因其盟国安全受到威胁而加大了在亚太地区的军事部署,美韩决定在朝鲜半岛部署"萨德"反导系统,美日韩在安全方面的合作日益深化,对中韩关系造成前所未有的挑战,打破了东北亚地区的安全平衡,使东北亚地区陷入核威胁和地区安全失衡的双重安全困境。

On January 1st 2016, North Korea declared the fourth nuclear test. This declara- tion sparked tension in Northeast Asia again. With the enhancement of North Korea^s nu- clear threats, South Korea and Japan want to seek security from the United States. For this reason, the United States decides to deploy a set of ＂THAAD＂ anti-missile system in the Korean peninsula to increase its military deployment in the Asia-Pacific region. The deepening security cooperation among the United States, Japan and South Korea caused an unprecedented challenge between China and South Korea, break the security balance in Northeast Asia, and get caught in a double security dilemma of nuclear threat and regional security imbalance.
