摘要
地处吴头楚尾的武穴市,素食食材丰富,具有发展素食的物质基础;文风甚炽,读书人讲求修身养性,具有繁荣素食的文化基础;受黄老之学的影响颇深,当地居民与人为善,与世无争,清静无为,且素有"佛国"之称,深受佛门饮食思想的濡染,慈悲为怀,普度众生,具备了素食的群众基础。由此,武穴衍生了众多的素食菜品,素食之风长盛不衰。
Located on the borders between the two kingdoms Wu and Chu (of the Spring and Autumn Period in ancient China), Wuxue is rich in ingredients of vegetarian diet, which is the material basis for developing vegetarian diet. The local scholars strived for self-cultivation to form the cultural foundation to flourish vegetar- ian diet. In addition, deeply affected by Taoism, local citizens are friendly to each other, stand aloof from worldly success and create peaceful environment and let thing take their own course. In particular, well known as "land of Buddha" and deeply imbued by Buddhist dietary thought, it always shows leniency and gives relief and help to all mortal beings. Therefore, a large number of vegetarian dishes were derived.
