汤亭亭作品《女勇士》中的中国文化元素探究

汤亭亭的作品《女勇士》在国内外受到广泛地赞誉与关注,被称为美国华裔文学的开山之作,在美国华裔文学史上具有里程碑式的意义。笔者认为,此作品之所以在学术界被广泛研究,与其中国文化元素的巧妙运用是分不开的。汤亭亭对中国文化元素的继承与创新使其作品极具特色。汤亭亭通过对中国文化元素,如花木兰替父从军、岳母刺字等的运用与改写,对表达作品主题与实现政治诉求具有重大意义。因此,《女勇士》中的中国文化元素是一个值得深入研究的话题。

＂The Woman Warrior＂ by Tang Tingting, known as Chinese American literary masterpiece, has re- ceived widespread praise and attention both home and abroad as a landmark in the history of Chinese American Literature. The author believes that the reason why this work is widely studied in the academic field is closely related to its clever use of Chinese cultural elements. Tang＇s inheritage and innovation of Chinese culture make her works with her own feature. By using and rewriting some Chinese stories such as Mulan Joined the Army for her Father and Tattooing Yue Fei, Tang Tingting expressed the theme of the works by realizing her political aspiration. The Chinese cultural element in ＂The Woman Warrior＂ is ,therefore, considered the topic worthy of further study.
